In the nearest future Russian Post financial service policy will focus on banking products sale that allows to keep strong positions in the market of traditional services, stated I. Mandrikin, Russian Post Acting Deputy Director General within the framework of conference “Postal Service” at the enlarged session of the Collegium of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the RF held in Moscow today, reported the press-centre of  Russian Post.

He noted that post is going to develop banking services along with already existing package of services. At the same time Russian Post and credit institutions joint work on developing and implementing banking products is one of the key objects in this sphere.

In 2007 the enterprise will concentrate its attention on developing services as follows: bank cards holders servicing at POS-terminals, making loan payments and deposits in post offices. Upon that improvement of electronic money order system and traditional financial services as utilities payments, delivery of pensions and allowances, remains one of the prior activities.

Revenue from financial services accounted for 46 % of total revenue Russian Post in 2006.
