OREANDA-NEWS. On April 02, 2007 Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill put its fourth chipping line into operation after a major overhaul. To realize this first large-scale project in 2007, the mill received 27 million roubles from Ilim Pulp, reported the press-centre of  Ilim Pulp. The overhaul included reconstruction of the slasher and drainage transporters, two drum barkers underwent thorough repairs, the sorting unit and pneumatic transport system were renovated. One of the sorting systems of the first line underwent its first reconstruction, which will allow us to lower the breakdown rate, which means reduced reconstruction and maintenance costs.  It is planned to step up chipping output by 6% after the renovated equipment is set into operation. Dmitry Kaygorodov, the mill’s chief production engineer, says: “We have started similar works on the third line. We plan to complete the renovation by middle May, that is, before the navigation starts. Achieving success here guarantees that we can fulfill 2007 production plan”.
