OREANDA-NEWS. According to the 2007 investment programme, Logging and Timber Rafting Department (Siberia group of logging companies of Ilim Pulp) was provided with an up-to-date tree-length John Deere harvester complex that costs $1 mln, reported the press-centre of  Ilim Pulp. The logging aggregate includes three machines: a log loader, a skidder and a tree feller. The company had previously gained experience in operating Timberjack-John Deere cut-to-length harvesters, therefore eight operators received additional three-week instruction, including academic and practical courses. The new modern tree-length harvester complex will boost logging significantly while lowering production costs. It is a second tree-length harvester complex in Ilim Pulp Corporation. The first one has been successfully operated on the allotments of IlimSibLes since December 2006.  As many as 15 up-to-date John Deere loggers are currently working on Logging and Timber Rafting Department forest allotments.
