OREANDA-NEWS. Attending the meeting will be the managers of Rosenergoatom and Energoatom (Ukraine), radiation safety experts from the Russian and Ukrainian NPPs as well as specialized enterprises and organizations involved in radiation safety projects, reported the press-centre of  Rosenergoatom. They will discuss the radiation safety situation in 2006 and the measures under the radiation control improvement program, will exchange experience in the use of modern radiation control technologies at NPPs and will outline their tasks for 2007. The Radiation Safety Council was set up in 1996 for ensuring transition to new radiation safety standards (complying with the international ones). The Council is a collegial body providing recommendations for radiation safety enhancement at NPPs.
