OREANDA-NEWS. On April 11, 2007 Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announced the commercial release of three components in its new-generation corporate product line: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstation, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server and Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0, reported the press-centre of  Kaspersky Lab.

The three products are based on Kaspersky Lab’s new approach to corporate network protection: Kaspersky Open Space Security.

Today’s secure work environment is no longer limited to the office building. As employees are becoming more mobile, there is an emerging need for security that can be mobile as well. The Kaspersky Open Space Security concept includes not only protection of the company network perimeter but of all nodes on the network, regardless of location, type of device, or platform. Kaspersky Open Space Security includes a policy for PCs that incorporates special rules for the antivirus when they are outside of the office. This ensures solid protection of PCs even when outside of the home network.

Kaspersky Open Space Security also supports Cisco NAC (Network Admission Control) technology, which provides additional protection for the corporate local network and makes it possible to identify the status of antivirus protection on connected computers. Access to the local network is permitted or denied depending on whether computers comply with specific security criteria. Kaspersky Open Space Security combines signature-based protection with cutting-edge proactive technologies that can identify and alert the user of unknown malicious programs, and prevent or roll back possible malicious changes.
