OREANDA-NEWS. “Jazz-Bishkek-Spring”, the second Bishkek International jazz festival, will take place at Kyrgyz National academic Opera and Ballet Theater after A.  Maldybayev from 27 to 29 of April, 2007, reported the press-centre of  AUB. Quite a number of respectable organizations such as: Swiss Co-operation Bureau, the US, German and French Embassies in Kyrgyzstan, Institute after J.W.  Goethe from Almaty, Ministry of culture and information of the Kyrgyz Republic and Musical Theater after Kh. Mukhtarov   contributed their share to the organization of the festival. AsiaUniversalBank became the general sponsor of the international festival. Both well-known musicians and beginners from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Switzerland, Germany, France and the USA will participate in the event.  The motto of the festival is - no borders for music.

Jazz is an international language of communication for musicians. It is created all over the world. This kind of music is democratic. It’s music of free and creative people and it favors synthesis of different genres: jazz improvisation and traditional music. The first Bishkek jazz-festival that took place in April, 2006, showed that our audience, especially advanced youth, is interested in this kind of music and the last one is able to compete with rock and pop music. On April 13 the organizers of the festival gave a press conference where they told about the festival coming. This spring the second Bishkek jazz-festival will once again unite the hearts of jazz-lovers who live on the different continents and belong to   the different generations. The main program of the festival will be arranged within three evenings, from April 27 to April 29, at the Opera and Ballet Theater. Such groups as “Aura” (Kyrgyzstan), “Juma” (Kyrgyzstan), “Ozon” (France), a quartet “Ary Roland” (the USA), Lucas Niggly and Tzu Fenshiya (Switzerland) and H2O (Tajikistan) will appear on the stage among the others.

The organizers of the festival will introduce new names to the audience and for that purpose they invite some talented musicians from the regions of Kyrgyzstan. For example, a jazz-group from Karakol is going to perform too. At the press conference the press attachй on culture and press issues of the German Embassy Steffen Laas told a little about their work:” Our Embassy has actively been working in Kyrgyzstan for a long time. It works not only in the sphere of politics but in the sphere of culture as well, since this work gives us a nice opportunity to introduce the culture of our people to the citizens of this country. I’d like to note, carrying out of the festival would be impossible without our sponsors’ assistance.

Particularly, AsiaUniversalBank is the general sponsor of the festival, and I should note, the bank always actively supports the culture. This fact gladdens hearts since support of the culture is not only a way for a positive image creation but a way for just putting everybody in good spirits.” “The coming festival could be called a one more Kyrgyzstan’s visiting card, all the more, it became a traditional event. I should say, long ago AsiaUniversalBank chose the culture and art as so called investment of money sphere. We want our compatriots to live pleasantly. We want them to discuss not only politics but some things that are more pleasant, music, for instance.  For it is eternal, after all,” Sergey Zanin, the head of AUB Development Administration, shared his opinion.
