OREANDA-NEWS. On April 19, 2007 Mikhail Men, Governor of Ivanovo region and Igor Syrtsov, FSUE Russian Post Director General signed bilateral agreement on improvement and development of federal postal service in Ivanovo region, reported the press-centre of  Russian Post. The agreement will allow for coordinating the parties’ actions on effective implementing the state policy in the sphere of postal services. To improve service quality the government plans to develop production and transport infrastructure, control work of post offices in remote and sparsely populated districts in the region.


Mikhail Men noted particular social significance of post in Ivanovo region. The governor also emphasized that the administrative authorities would contribute to raising postal services availability for the customers. I. Syrtsov in his turn supported Men’s decision and said that improvement of provided services quality and development of new ones is the prior current goal for the enterprise. Since the end of 2006 Russian Post AFPS in Ivanovo region implemented financial services a follows: encashing bank cards holders, collection of utilities payments and ones for cellular communication at special terminals. It also started the project on crediting by postal orders jointly with LLC Home Credit and Finance Bank. Within the framework of the project "CyberPocht@" the enterprise has set 186 public access outlets in post offices of the region. Both parties agreed that they will make program on regional postal service development in the near future that can be considered as the following step of their mutual work.
