On April 20, 2007 Sverdlovsk oblast governor Edward Rossel and Igor Makarov, Chairman of ITERA Oil & Gas Company's Board of Directors signed a cooperation agreement between the oblast government and the oil and gas company through 2015 in Yekaterinburg, reported the press-centre of  ITERA. The document refers favorably to cooperation results achieved in 1999-2007 in reliable supply of natural gas to Sverdlovsk oblast consumers that enabled industrial growth and satisfied increasing economic and social demands of the region. The company received high appraisal for implementing gasification programs and construction of heat generation plants, industrial and public facilities, as well as charitable actions.


The document provides guaranteed volumes of gas supply to match economic growth rate and social demands, as per the region’s General gas supply and distribution master plan. Throughout the Agreement term, ITERA Oil & Gas Company LLC will be selling gas via its subsidiary, ZAO Uralsevergaz. ITERA undertakes to supply gas to state-financed organizations, general public and social sphere facilities at prices controlled by the competent official authorities. In conjunction with ZAO Uralsevergaz and Regiongaz-invest, ITERA is implementing inter-town gas pipeline installation programs, gas distribution networks and gas boiler houses. Sverdlovsk oblast government intends to promote up-to-date settlement methods used by housing and public sector and state-financed organizations effecting their gas payments. It will also assist ITERA in implementing investment projects.
Under the Agreement, ITERA assisted by the Government of the oblast will take steps toward creating an efficient fuel and energy balance structure in the oblast. Special focus will be given to natural gas saving, introduction of power-saving technologies and installation of advanced energy-efficient equipment, alongside with installation of new power generation facilities to ensure higher power supply reliability for the oblast’s industry.


The company will continue to be extensively involved in implementing the region’s plans of social and economic development, sponsoring child care centers, military units, veteran, medical, sports and culture organizations. Edward Rossel, Sverdlovsk oblast Governor noted, that “we have established unparalleled, unique relationships with ITERA, the type of relationships non-existent anywhere else in Russia. Signing a long-term agreement with the company, which is a reliable strategic partner of the region heralds a new chapter in our mutually beneficial cooperation”. Igor Makarov, Chairman of ITERA Oil & Gas Company's Board of Directors stated that the company values the high honor of working for one of the largest Russia’s industrial centers. “We are in possession of the resources required to carry out all programs planned and implement major investment projects in Sverdlovsk oblast”, he emphasized.
