OREANDA-NEWS. Heads of the world top agrarian banks took part in the discussion panel on agribusiness development perspectives in Russia during the meeting of the Central Committee of the International Confederation of Agricultural Credit (CICA). The meeting was held in Moscow on  30th April with organizational support from Russian Agricultural Bank, reported the press-centre of RAB.

Alexei Gordeev, Minister of Agriculture, in his address positively assessed RAB’s activities in agribusiness lending and noted that Russian Agribusiness not only reconstructs its former potential, but also is in further progress. Gordeev noted that this progress is to a large extend due to the development of lending. Yuri Trushin, Chairman of the Board and CEO of RAB, in his address noted that RAB’s loan portfolio in agribusiness will be steadily growing.  CICA’s meeting participants received testimonials from Sergey Mironov, Chairman of The Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Mikhail Fradkov, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. Both of them expressed confidence in future stable development of agribusiness and increase of its investment appeal.
