By the results of OJSC “VolgaTelecom” activity in Q I-2007 RAS proceeds amounted to 6 021,4 million rubles (growth rate vs. Q I-2006 – 119,6%). “VolgaTelecom” revenues from telecommunication services made up 5 693,6 million rubles (growth rate –  119,1%), sales profit –  1 572,2 million rubles (growth rate – 113,2%).

The major portion in the proceeds structure falls on local communication services revenues – 2 757,8 million rubles (growth rate – 106%) or 45,8% of the proceeds. Revenues from intrazonal communication - 1 133,2 million rubles (growth rate - 168,6%) or 18,8% of the proceeds amount. Revenues from traffic connection and transit services amount to 875,9 million rubles (growth rate – 108,6%) or 14,6% of the proceeds amount. Revenues from high-tech communication services made up 704,9 million rubles (growth rate – 147,3%), including from Internet access services - 601,5 million rubles (growth rate – 146,9%).

Pretax earnings grew to 1 128,5 million rubles (growth rate – 100,5%). OJSC “VolgaTelecom” net profit at Q I-2007 end made up 818,4 million rubles (growth rate – 99,8%). EBITDA - 2 158,9 million rubles (growth rate – 104,9%). Sales profit cost effectiveness made up 35,3%, pretax earnings cost effectiveness - 25,4%, net profit cost effectiveness - 18,4%. EBITDA in proceeds - 35,9%.

In Q I-2007 the subscribers’ base of Internet wideband access services users grew by 384% vs. similar period of the past year and made up 148 250 subscribers. The share of revenues from Internet access services in the structure of proceeds made up 10% and grew by 1,9% vs. Q I-2006.

During Q I-2007 the number of basic telephone sets grew by 3 258 units vs. the quantity at 2006 end.  

Staff on payroll reduced by 17,1% to 37 936 men. During the reporting period the number of lines per an employee grew to 132 lines (growth rate – 124,3%). Revenue per an employee grew to 158,7 thousand rubles (growth rate – 144,3%). Revenue per a line at Q I-2007 end made up 1 207,4 rubles (growth rate – 116,5%). Prime cost per a ruble of proceeds – 0,74 ruble.
