OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2007. The CJSC Transmashholding sales of products and services rose by 55 per cent QOQ in January-March to total US$515.4 million.

The sales growth was shown by all the key kinds of the company activity. For instance, the sales of all types of electric locomotives grew by 188 per cent (49/17 sections in January-March 2007/2006), the sales of electric train cars rose by 97 per cent (128/65), those of freight cars by 15 per cent (392/340), main line diesel locomotives by 267 per cent (3/11), various purpose diesels by 37 per cent (130/95).

The passenger rolling stock repairs rose significantly, by 40 per cent. This service costs totaled US$5.6 million in the first quarter of 2007, whereas it totaled US$7.8 million in the first three months of 2007.

The JSC Russian Railways has purchased a considerable part of the Transmashholding products. The two companies have signed a number of long-term agreements implementing the shipment of various kinds of rolling stock until the year of 2010.
