OREANDA-NEWS. On May 14, 2007 Uzbek-Russian business forum was held in the International business center. Ministry Foreign Economic Relations, investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, the Center of political researches and Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce from Uzbekistan; Federal agency of industry, Institute of strategic researches, Russian Chamber of Commerce from Russia and the Russian-Uzbek Business Council have organized the forum, reported the Presidential website www.gov.uz.


The Deputy Prime Minister of Republic Uzbekistan, Minister of Finance Rustam Azimov has noted, that economic cooperation between our countries consistently develops and there is a strong legal basis for them which is the Agreement of Allied Relations signed by presidents Islam Karimov and Vladimir Putin in November, 2005. The head of Federal Agency of Industry of the Russian Federation Boris Alyoshin has emphasized, that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia develops according to the Agreement of Allied Relations, and the scale of economic relations widens from year to year.


The volume of trade turnover between our countries in the past year has increased for 51,3 percent and has made 3,117 billion US dollars that testifies about successful continuation of cooperation. It is remarkable, that in export of Uzbekistan the share of finished goods increases. If in 2005 this constituent made 76 percent in 2006 it has exceeded 80 percent.
