OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2007. Dmitry Evstratov, the adviser of the vice-president of Transneft, appointed general director of the Pipeline Consortium Burgas- Alexandropolis.
 
It should be pointed out that the pipeline Burgas- Alexandropolis will be built at the territory of Greece and Bulgaria, and thus it will be possible to decrease the volume of oil transported by tankers via Bosporus and Dardanelles.
 
The pipeline capacity of the length of 285 km will total 35 mn tons per year. In future the capacity could be increased up to 50 mn tons annually. The cost of the project - about 1 bn euros.
 
Russian share is 51%. In the framework of the share Rosneft, Gasprom neft and Transneft established the joint venture - the Pipeline Consortium Burgas- Alexandropolis. Transneft has a 33. 34% share in the stock of the company.
