OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2007. As stated L.D. Reiman, Minister for Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation at the session of Collegium of the Ministry of IT and Communications of the RF concerning implementation of Federal Industrial Agreement in communication agencies, reported the press-centre of  Russian Post.

It was attended by A. Nazeikin, Chairman of Trade Union of Communications Workers of RF, I. Syrtsov, FSUE Russian Post Director General, A. Andreev, Head of Directorate of HR Management of Russian Post, heads of communications enterprises and representatives of personnel departments.

As to L.D. Reiman, the main objective of the Federal Industrial Agreement signed at the end of 2005 is to provide high level of social security for postal employees, worthy salary and production performances. Therefore Trade Union activities and its cooperation with heads and employees of the industry’s enterprises play very important part in implementing these goals.

A. Nazeikin said that the signed agreement and social partnership between Trade Union and the industry’s enterprises developed within its framework is an efficient mechanism for providing social guarantees.

In his speech I. Syrtsov showed the results of implementing social policy held by Russian Post. The measures as signing Unified Collective Agreement, implementing Single Salary Payment System (SSPS), establishing labor security systems, training and improving working skills at the expense of the enterprise have serious results. After implementing SSPS salary system orients on every region in Russia. Now it is calculated on living standards of the region and average salary sum. This program excluded the fault level of the salaries in different regions. In 2006 average salary index toped by 41, 8 % (from 5232 rub. to 7419 rub.). In the first quarter of 2007 average salary amounted 7 929 rubles. Signing Unified Collective Agreement helped to regulate both social, labor and economic relationships of employees. Postal employees got guaranteed social security, earlier however social payments were based on residual principle. As a result Russian Post begins to return to its competitive positions in the employment market, personnel turnover reduced 1,5 times, personnel shortage reduced by 10 per cent points, the personnel became more interested in the quality of work it makes.

In 2007 Russian Post will continue improvement of SSPS and development of the projects in social sphere. In addition all organizations noted that the enterprise should pay more attention to labor protection and improve economic efficiency of the activities.
