OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot group of companies announced its IRFS (International Financial Reporting Standards) net income at 258,1 million US dollars. This figure surpasses the airlines 2005 figures by 36 per cent (68,3 million US dollars).

In 2006, Aeroflot’s IRFS revenue increased by 18,1 per cent to 2982,7 million US dollars, an increase of 456,4 million US dollars. Operational expenses increased 14,1 per cent to 2 605,7 million US dollars.

Aeroflot CFO Mikhail Poluboyarinov attributes the positive financial results to a significant increase in passenger numbers and the strength of Aeroflot’s management team.
