OREANDA-NEWS. During the first five months of 2007, commodity output of Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill, a subsidiary of forest industry corporation Ilim Pulp, amounted to 288,05 thousand tonnes, 3,5 thousand tonnes (1,2%) down as compared to January - May 2006.

Output of market pulp totalled 202,6 thousand tonnes, 3,6 thousand tonnes (1,8%) up as compared to the first five months of 2006. Container board output amounted to 85,3 thousand tonnes, 7,1 thousand tonnes (7,7%) down year-over-year. Such a drop in containerboard output is due to a long-term stage-by-stage general halting at Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill facilities.

General pulping was at 312,95 thousand tonnes, 1,195 tonnes (0,4%) down as compared to the same period of 2006. Bleached softwood pulp output was at 107,84 thousand tonnes, 0,3% down year-over-year. Bleached hardwood pulp output went up 5,215 thousand tonnes (4,7%) year-over-year amounting to 115,915 thousand tonnes.

Over January - May 2007, 1 377.5 thousand cu metres of raw materials were delivered to the facilities, matching the figures of the past year. Pulpchip output was 1 222.9 thousand cu metres, 3,8 thousand cu metres (0,3%) down as compared to the first five months of 2006.
