OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2007.  Kursk Korenskaya Fair took place in the village of Svoboda on 7–11 June 2007. Over 800 people from Russia and abroad took place in the fair. The highlight of Kursk NPP’s exposition was the project for the final construction of the 5th unit. The plant also presented its modernization and ecological safety projects as well as the everyday life of the satellite city, Kurchatov.

Governor of Kursk region Alexander Mikhaylov and the chairman of the organizational committee of the fair Nikolay Ovcharov attended the exposition on June 8. Mikhaylov said that they give high priority to the development of Kursk NPP as its efficiency is a pledge of economic stability and welfare in the region.

The director of the plant Yuri Slepokon was awarded a certificate for innovative activities, while the head of the plant’s Workers Supply Department Alexander Nozhkin – for contribution to the revival of the traditions of Kursk Korenskaya Fair.
