OREANDA-NEWS. July 2, 2007. The program of the forum included an exhibition of innovative projects, a plenary session, roundtables, business meeting as well as the awarding of the winners. Almost 500 people took part in the forum: scientists, officials, specialists, public figures, journalists.

During the awarding ceremony the organizers of the forum said: "The nuclear power industry has been and is key source of innovations and advanced technologies, the locomotive of scientific-technical progress.
This is a unique scientific potential that can supply innovative solutions for not only nuclear power sector but also related industries. One of the key priorities of Rosatom is active export of innovative solutions to other industries and sectors of the economy".

Among the key topics of the roundtables were the development of innovations in the nuclear power industry, inter-sectoral exchange of innovations, banking and venture financing of innovative projects, engineering for oil and gas sector, aviation and space, electronics, energy saving, training of personnel for innovative projects.

Over 180 projects were submitted to the forum covering aviation industry, water treatment, electronics, small nuclear power engineering, mining, processing, oil and gas, safety, railways, ecology, utilities.

The following projects were proclaimed winners:

— Bio-physical Technologies Ltd with project "Commercialization of Container Systems for CNG Transportation" in the Oil and Gas Industry nomination;

— A.Leipunsky Institute for Physics and Power Engineering with project "Plasmachemical Nano Membranes for Fine Liquid and Gas Filtering" in the Water Treatment nomination;

— Institute of High Energy Physics with project "Acoustic Gas Analyzer" in the Safety nomination;

— Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant with project "Processing and Use of Spent Lithium Cells" in the Ecology nomination;

— Russian Federal Nuclear Center-All-Russian Research Institute of Applied Physics with project "Laser-Holographic Methods of Deformation and Vibration Analysis" in the Aircraft Building nomination;

— Research Institute of Electrical Measuring Devices with project "Non Destructive Testing of Cable and Electrical Equipment Throughout Their Life Service" in the Electric Power Engineering nomination;

— Elektrogorsk Research Center for NPP Safety with "Heat Discharge Measurement System" in the Utilities nomination;

— Aileron Scientific Production Association with project "Complex of Monitoring and Communication Means for Cargo Transportation" in the Railways nomination;

— All-Russian Research Institute of Non-Organic Materials with project "Experimental Production of Vacuum Foil from Nano Crystal Beryllium" in the Electronics nomination;
— Hydropress Experimental Design Bureau with project "Medium-Capacity NPP on the Basis of Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor for regional Energy Systems" in the Nuclear Power Engineering nomination.
