OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2007. A Rosenergoatom commission assessed the qualification of the personnel training instructors of Kola NPPs. Personnel training is one of the key ways for an NPP to ensure its safety. For this purpose, all NPPs have personnel training instructors.
The instructors of Kola NPP faced a difficult task: they had to prove their qualification and to substantiate their methods.

Personnel training instructors can be certified for one, three or five years. The instructors of Kola NPP have been certified for the maximum possible period — five years, which proves their high qualification and efficiency. The inspection was very fruitful: the sides discussed lots of problems and found solutions of many of them.

The commission assessed the following aspects of the instructors’ work:

— organization and management of the process of training;

— qualification of trainees and personnel training policy;

— personnel training program;

— planning and methodology;

— teaching aids;

— practical training;

Each of the above aspects has a wide spectrum of objectives and tasks and many of them are closely inter-related. So, such assessments are generally carried out through complex approach.

The commission was led by the head of the Personnel Management Department of Rosenergoatom Ludmila Btstrikova and comprised personnel training executives of Smolensk, Balakovo, Novovoronezh and Beloyarsk NPPs, a representative of VNIIAES and the chief inspector of the Personnel Management Department. All of them are real experts and are always ready to share their experience and to advise personnel training instructors on how to improve their efficiency.
