OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2007. In the first half of 2007 Phosphorit Industrial Group, a subsidiary of EuroChem, produced 377,300 tonnes of core products, the same level as in the corresponding period last year, reported the press-centre of EuroChem.

The output of mineral fertilizers was 278,500 tonnes, and defluorinated phosphate (DFF) – 98,800 tonnes. In the total fertilizer product mix the output of ammophos was 266,200 tonnes, up 23% as compared to the corresponding period last year. In addition, ammophoska universal grade, a complex fertilizer, was produced for farmers of Leningrad Region (11,000 tonnes) and superphosphate was produced upon customers' requests (1,300 tonnes).

The production program had been developed taking into account the environment in the phosphate fertilizer and feed phosphate market.

The output of sulphuric acid for own industrial needs corresponded to the target figures and was 364,500 tonnes, up 3,3% from the previous year level. The output of wet-process phosphoric acid for own industrial needs (100% Р2О5) was 156,900 tonnes, up 10,100 tonnes (6,9%). It enabled the enterprise to produce more concentrated mineral fertilizers in terms of Р2О5 content.
