OREANDA-NEWS. During the special session the shareholders of Port-Aktiv approved the deal on purchasing a 50% share of M-Port which controls the Vladivostok commercial sea port.
 
The par of share totals 1.502 bn rubles.
 
The company M-Port, which has shares of the Vladivostok commercial sea port, is controlled by two major shareholders of the port - Port-Aktiv and Magnitogorsk Metallurgic Combine (MMC) on an equal footing.
 
According to Vedomosti, the decision to sell the port's shares was made by MMC this year. "We have stopped to ship production to China. In 2005 the company supplied about 1 mn tons of rolled metal to China, in 2006 the volume of supplying was about 80 000 tons. We bought the port to serve our export", - explained chairman of the Directors Board of MMC Victor Rashnikov.
