OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2007. The State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Russian Federation* awarded Ella Tomilina, NWT Deputy General Manager for corporate relations, the degree of Dr.Habil in Economics.

E.I. Tomilina obtained the highest Russian academic degree in Economics and management of national economy (innovations and investments management). She submitted a thesis entitled “Syncretism of organizational innovations as the basis for corporate development strategies”, which she defended in November last year at the meeting of the Dissertation Council of Belgorod State Technological University, named after V.G.Shukhov. Tomilina was working on her degree at this university at the department of financial management.  

Ella Tomilina works in OJSC NWT since March 2004. She graduated with distinction from St.-Petersburg Institute of Trade and Economics (former Leningrad Institute of Soviet Trade), and in 1993 obtained PhD from the same university in Economics, planning and organization of national economy. In 1999 she studied Principles of corporate finances in IP3 at the Academy for Educational Development of the US Government (Washington and New York). She is a certified business valuator.

She has worked for more than 10 years at the stock market. From 1994 she was head of the analytic department of the Kartel investment company and later held the position of the executive director of this company. From October 2001 she was deputy general manager of Energokapital investment company (St.-Petersburg).

She has been elected twice to the Expert Council of the Federal Commission for the Securities Market of the Russian Federation (2000 and 2002). She has the "Stock market elite-2003” award presented annually by the National Association of Stock Market Participants, and the title of "Best analyst of the North-Western Russia-2003".

Ella Tomilina has 15 years of teaching experience, published several monographs and articles on stock market, business valuation, strategic and innovations management. Currently she is associate professor at the department of Economics and Management at St.-Petersburg State Technological Institute (Technical University).
