OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2007. IBS commences a gas station chain automation project for Samaranefteproduct, reported the press-centre of IBS.

In partnership with AZK-Standard, IBS will unify all operating gas stations of Samaranefteproduct under a common automation standard and provide gas station management based on IBS GAS solution.

The OAO Samaranefteproduct chain now includes over 70 gas stations located in Samara region, with IBS GAS solution implemented at some of the gas stations and retail support systems of other producers used at other gas stations. Given the advantages of IBS GAS industrial solution, which were proven in operation, it was decided to have IBS GAS implemented at all gas stations of the chain.

Samaranefteproduct gas stations are state-of-the-art facilities including a gas station per se and a minimarket. When implemented, IBS GAS will provide comprehensive automated management of sales of fuel, goods and various services and automate payments by cards of international payment systems. In addition, the project will link (and not just automate) all gas stations into one network with centralized management.

The project is expected to improve job efficiencies of all employees of the company, from gas station managers to executives at various levels, through optimization of core business processes, more efficient recording, control and management of retail sales of oil products, gas and related products and services, standardize document flow management and provide better data storage reliability.

Within the project IBS will deliver the hardware and the software and AZK-Standard, which provides maintenance and support of the Samaranefteproduct network, will replicate IBS GAS hardware and software at the gas stations. The project is expected to be completed within three months.
