OREANDA-NEWS. On July 24, 2007 the Press Center of Nuclear Power Industry announced two specialized contests for the preparation and introduction of educational programs and presentation packages for regional information centers of the nuclear power industry.

Rosatom is planning to open such centers in administrative centers and NPP territories by the end of this year. The activities of the centers will be aimed at raising public awareness of energy and ecology and disseminating knowledge about radiation and nuclear safety and nuclear power engineering.

The application deadline has been prolonged till July 30 2007.

The contest for preparation of a complex presentation package for information centers of nuclear power industry

The open public contest for the preparation of a complex presentation package about the activities of the information centers of the nuclear power industry is aimed at enhancing public awareness of the problems concerning the use of nuclear energy and nuclear and radiation safety.
The contest has been organized by the Press Center of the Nuclear Power Industry.

It was started on July 28 2007 and will last till July 30 2007.

The venue of the contest is Moscow.

The open public contest for the production and introduction of a complex educational video program for the information centers of the nuclear power industry is aimed at enhancing public awareness of the problems concerning the use of nuclear energy and nuclear and radiation safety.
The contest has been organized by the Press Center of the Nuclear Power Industry.

It was started on July 28 2007 and will last till July 30 2007.

The key goals of the contests are:

1. to disseminate knowledge about nuclear power engineering among wide sections of the population of the Russian Federation

2. to enhance the interests of target audiences in nuclear energy and to provide them with true information about the activities of the nuclear power industry

3. to enhance the public awareness of the problems concerning the use of nuclear energy, the work of nuclear facilities, nuclear safety, NPPs, nuclear fuel cycle.

The contests are open for organizations with relevant experience that are registered in the territory of the Russian Federation in line with the local legislation.
