OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2007. The city of Irkutsk has hosted a circuit session of the Field Development Workshop of Gas Industry Commission for Field Development & Subsoil Use.

The participants examined a technological scheme for the Western and Eastern block development in the Yuzhno-Kovyktinskaya area with the distinguished pilot operation period developed by Promgaz and executed pursuant to the Schedule Plan on synchronizing geological survey, engineering and construction aimed at implementing an investment project for the regional top-priority gas supply and gasification facilities during 2006-2008.

The participants decided to prepare for the Chikanskoye gas condensate field development located in the Zhigalovsky Region of the Irkutsk Oblast. The preservation of unique Siberian nature must be the major issue within the field development.
