OREANDA-NEWS. In the near future twelve plants designed to process secondary resources are expected to be built in Belarus, Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky told reporters in Gomel today after visiting an experimental biomechanical plant for processing secondary resources, reported the Official website www.government.by.

According to him, over the last two-three years Gomel companies have gained valuable experience other regions should learn. “We have trained specialists of the Housing and Utilities Ministry at the experimental biomechanical plant for processing secondary resources. We are going to replicate such factories,” the Premier noted.

Sergei Sidorsky pointed out good prospects of the Gomel-based factory. The designed capacity of the factory will make up 180 thousand tonnes per annum solving Gomel’s problem of recycling secondary resources for the next ten years. The head of Government said, it is necessary to build such mini-factories in other big towns of the region.

At the same time, Sergei Sidorsky noted that it is necessary to decide what technologies should be used to process secondary resources - domestic ones or those licensed from Western companies. Thus, for instance, the line used at the Gomel factory is eight times cheaper than a foreign analogue. Coming up with an economic scheme for the process is top priority today. The Government needs an effective economic scheme to supply processing companies with secondary resources. Some of the added value will be withdrawn from these companies to build new processing facilities. It will be an efficient economic scheme, Sergei Sidorsky stressed.
