OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2007. Chairman of the republic of Udmurtia Government Yury Pitkevich and Deputy Chairman of the Government Ildar Bikbulatov, supervising the HEC activity, met the General Director of OJSC “TGC-5” Eduard Smelov who arrived in Izhevsk on business visit.

The main point of the meeting was discussing perspectives of developing thermal power market of Izhevsk. For TGC-5 it is one of the most important problems at present in the context of considering variants of expanding investment programme of generation in the republic of Udmurtia.

In order to provide the growing demand of the republic for electric power, at present it is necessary to structure heat loads of the city of Izhevsk so that the plants of Udmurtia branch are provided by basic output due to introduction of heating systems. According to the General Director of OJSC “TGC-5” Eduard Smelov, to solve this problem, it is important to unite all heating networks in the framework of a unified system of management, to pass over to long-term and, at the same time, separate tariffing by thermal power and capacity, and to provide forming the principles of interrelations between the heat market participants.

The participants of the meeting marked that these measures will stimulate increasing economic effectiveness of the plants of TGC-5 Udmurtia branch and ensure reliable heat supply of consumers of the capital of Udmurtia.

Yuri Pitkevich thanked OJSC “TGC-5” management for business partnership, support of the republic’s initiatives and said with certainty that considerable undertakings of TGC-5 aimed at strengthening capacity of the republic’s energy basis will be consistently continued.
