OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2007. Several meetings were held by officers of Perm Region Ministry for Urban Construction and Infrastructure Development devoted to the operation of OJSC IES-Prikamie (managed by OJSC Russian Utility Systems). Representatives of local authorities approved the report on the investment activities of the company for 2006 and praised the company's operations in the region.

Last year OJSC IES-Prikamie invested over 128 mln roubles in the development of the Perm Region power grid sector. The money was used to construct power grid facilities in Gornozavodsk, Ochera and Chaikovsky, as well as to realise the programme on the implementation of an automated system of commercial accounting for energy (ASCAE).

One of the items on the agenda was OJSC IES-Prikamie's planned investment activities in 2007-2008. This year the company intends to invest 153 mln roubles in the regional power grid sector. Large-scale works have already been launched for the reconstruction of power lines, design and construction of power supply facilities in Gornozavodsk and Chaikovsky, installation of energy meters under the programme of ASCAE implementation (over 3.5 thousand devices have been installed during 7 months of 2007).

One of the most important results of the meetings was the decision taken by the local authorities to include the reconstruction of power grids in the cottage settlement of the Golovanovsky district (Perm) in the investment programme of OJSC IES-Prikamie. At present the settlement is facing problems in power supply caused by sporadic building undertaken by individuals without any power supply system design. The company is to spend 10 mln roubles in order to eliminate these problems. Design documentation is expected to be completed before the end of 2007. Power grids construction and reconstruction works are planned in two stages for 2008. The first stage will cover the laying of 6 kV cable lines and the construction of two transformer substations. During the second stage the 0.4 kV distribution grids inside the settlement will be reconstructed. When completed, these works will ensure high-quality power supply for all residents of the settlement.
