OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2007. The eighth International Aerospace Show MAKS-2007 was opened on August 21, 2007 in the town of Zhukovsky nearby Moscow. ROSNO and IJSC Allianz, being part of the international financial group Allianz, are actively participating in the air show.

"It has been quite some time now that MAKS has become one of the key events for the international aerospace industry. Our companies, representing the Allianz Group, are traditionally acting as partners of this air show. Leading manufacturers and players of the aerospace market, as well as allied industries, are presenting here their products, technologies and latest developments. Participation in this air show is strategic for us from the business development standpoint. We are planning to introduce our partners with current aviation and space risk insurance products, developed by ROSNO and IJSC Allianz," says Hannes Chopra, ROSNO CEO, authorized representative of Allianz SE in the RF and CIS countries.

The insurers will have a joint stand throughout the whole air show, from 21.08.07 thru 26.08.07. ROSNO and IJSC Allianz representatives are expected to hold several meetings with partners, brokers and potential customers. The European office of Allianz will be represented by Jens Raeder, Head of Aviation, Executive Director, and Holger Fellmann, Senior Underwriter of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialties.

"Full-fledged development of the aviation market, compliant with the international standards, is impossible without an efficient risk-management system, and insurance as its key element. Aviation insurance programmes are highly demanded today. Aviation risks insurance is a very complicated line of business. But in order to become an active player at this market, an insurer should comply with the following requirements: be financially reliable; offer comprehensive insurance programs, covering various aviation risks; have high quality reinsurance protection and pursue competent underwriting policy", underlines Werner Lellinger, the President of IJSC Allianz.

According to the information provided by MAKS-2007 organizers, more than 400 Russian and 100 foreign companies will participate in the show this year. National halls of Germany, the USA, China, France and Belgium are also working there.
