OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2007. A change of executives took place in JSC “Kurskenergo” (which is in the JSC “IDGC of the Center” service area). Dmitry Gurin who has headed the company for the last 16 years, went to JSC “Rosneft”.

By an Order of JSC “IDGC of the Center”, Alexander Pilugin was appointed Deputy General Director of JSC “IDGC of Center” – the Managing Director of JSC “Kurskenergo”.  Prior to this position Mr. Pilugin worked as Technical Director of JSC “Kurskenergo”.

Dmitry Gurin has headed JSC “Kurskenergo” since 1991, when the country was in a systemic economic decline.  The young leader with his team managed both to keep the production and intellectual potential of JSC “Kurskenergo”, and, to provide conditions for further power system development during that harsh period.

Wide experience of work in the conditions of business process was gained, corporate governance arrangements were mastered, and most important transparency of all - production and financial-economic possibilities were enhanced; an effective system of company corporate management was developed. All these factors help to provide the security of power supply in the region, increase its reliability and quality in the conditions of increasing power consumption.
Dmitry Gurin, an honored power engineer of the RF, was awarded the “For Distinguished Service in the Russian Power Industry” merit badge for his personal contribution in power industry development.

Alexander Pilugun, the present head of JSC “Kurskenergo” is 39 years old. He graduated from Kursk Technical University in 1992.  He worked as an engineer, deputy head of relay protection service, deputy chief engineer, chief engineer of an affiliate JSC “Kurskenergo” of “Central Power Grids”.

Since 2004 was Assistant General Director for Capital Development and Operational Control of JSC “Kurskenergo”. Since 2005 was Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of JSC “Kurskenergo”, since 2007 is the Technical Director of JSC “Kurskenergo”.
