OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2007. FSUE Russian Post General Director Igor Syrtsov and CenterTelecom General Director Vaagn Martirosyan have signed a cooperation agreement between the national postal service operator of Russia and the largest provider of fixed-line telecommunications services of the Central Federal District.

The agreement covers the whole territory of the Central Federal District: Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kostroma, Kursk, Lipetsk, Moscow, Orel, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tula and Yaroslav regions.

In accordance with the terms, all regions of the Central Federal District are to set equal terms for access to the services rendered by Russian Post as follows:
an ability to pay for CenterTelecom services through postal facilities;
collecting, processing and delivery of telegrams;
acceptance of orders from CenterTelecom customers and sale of coupons for local, long-distance and international phone calls.

In addition, unified terms under the agreement will be applied for the delivery of bills and other documents concerned payment for CenterTelecom services.

"This agreement is a further step to improve customer services system at the interregional companies OJSC Svyazinvest and FSUE Russian Post, in order to satisfy the needs of Russia's population on proper level for the essential communications services," said Igor Syrtsov, General Director, Russian Post.

CenterTelecom General Director Vaagn Martirosyan emphasized that CenterTelecom and Russian Post have long-term partner history. "I am sure that cooperation between our companies from today's signing of this agreement will set the basis for improvement of the existing terms of servicing and will form the perspectives for improvement of the quality of life in the Central Federal District of Russia, and will be the basis for development of mutually beneficial cooperation between CenterTelecom and Russian Post," he said.
