OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2007. SITRONICS, the leading supplier of telecommunications, information technologies and microelectronics solutions in Russia and the countries of the CIS, and with a growing presence in Central and Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa, announced that MTS Belarus, the country’s largest mobile operator, has adopted the FORIS BSS/OSS billing system of SITRONICS Telecom Solutions.

The transition to FORIS BSS/OSS is the first step in the implementation of convergent billing. The implementation of the SITRONICS TS MEDIO SCP platform and the launching of the fully convergent billing system in the Belarus’ МТS network, with the possibility of introducing rating services in real time as well, will be completed within the coming months.

“The switch to a new billing solution is a very complex process, but we accomplished it thanks to the open and effective cooperation of specialists of both companies,” stated Vladimir Karpovitch, the General Director of MTS Belarus. “Compared to previous solutions, FORIS ensures data processing, allows immediate reaction to rapidly changing commands, and facilitates the creation of new tariff plans and the implementation of new services.”

Pavel Bednar, CEO of SITRONICS TS, Czech Republic commented: “The Company’s proven track record of the last decade in implementing BSS/OSS solutions for global carriers is our definite competitive advantage. The project with MTS Belarus employs a state-of-the-art solution which has also been implemented by other operators within the MTS Group.”

The SITRONICS TS FORIS BSS/OSS has been adopted by operators such as Vodafone Czech Republic, the German alternative operator Callax Telecom and the Russian mobile operator MTS, serving more than 74 million subscribers.
