OREANDA-NEWS. Gazprom will bid for shares in OGK-2 so that it can purchase at least a 50 per cent stake in the company's charter capital after it carries out an additional share issue. The Special Purpose Company will submit the bid, the Gazprom's press-service reports.

OGK-2 is a target asset for Gazprom within the restructuring process of RAO "UES of Russia". Gazprom's forward plans provide for managing OGK-2  to the Russian and international best practice standards of corporate governance and developing the company in the context of the interests of its shareholders, said Sergey Kupriyanov, Official Representative of Gazprom.
