OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2007. JSC SibCOTES (being a member of Holding E4 Group) took part in the International Energy Forum which was held on the 12–14 of September in Belgrade (Serbia). Every year this forum assembles about 150 participants from around the world which work in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. This year companies from Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria, Germany got together at the exhibition.

In his speech at the opening of Forum-2007 Alexander Popovich, Minister of Energy of the Serbia Republic emphasized that considerable investments are expected to flow into the energy sector of Serbia in the nearest years.  Rapid changes in the energy system of the country create good prerequisites for generation development, application of innovative technologies, utilization of new sources of energy including unconventional and more environmentally friendly sources (wind energy, sun energy, etc.).   It is no coincidence that Eco Fair – the Ecological Forum of Serbia was held in the same building in parallel with Belgrade Fair. It was devoted to the necessity to save energy in the cities of the country as well as to the importance to produce ecologically clean electric and heat energy. 

This year the showcases of the following international companies were presented at Belgrade Fair: Siemens, ABB, Vatenfall, Voith Turbo. Famous Serbian companies were also present: Kirka, Minal, Institute named after Mikhail Pupin, Informatika. Russia was presented by the joint showcase of JSC SibCOTES and ZIO Podolsk (ZIO d.о.о Beograd, its office in Serbia). At the conference which was held in parallel with the Fair the companies – participants discussed issues of modernization and expansion of thermal power plants of Serbia as well as perspective construction of new stations and utilization of renewable sources of energy.

SibCOTES made two reports at the conference. Lev Ginzburg, Chief Specialist of the Automated Control Systems and Metrology Department showed the experience of SibCOTES in development and implementation of the Automated Process Control Systems on the basis of different software-hardware complexes.  Vladimir Volkov, Chief Specialist of the Boiler Department made the presentation on “Optimization of operating regimes of the main and auxiliary equipment of power units to improve available output”. His presentation was illustrated by the examples from the working experience of specialists from JSC SibCOTES at the sites in Serbia (TPP “Nikola Tesla”, TPP “Kostolac-B”, TPP “Ugljevik”), in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TPP “Gacko”, TPP “Stanari”), in Montenegro (TPP Pljevlja”), in Poland (TPP “Scawina”) and others.
