OREANDA-NEWS. Kvazar-Micro Company, one of the leading system integrators in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, summarizes work for the first six months of current year. Consolidated turnover of the company for this period made up $284 million, exceeding by 25% analogous criterion for the same period of 2006. We remind that in 2006 total turnover of Kvazar-Micro made up $560 million, at that system integration accounts for $119,5 million, reported the press-centre of Kvazar-Micro.

The year 2007 became milestone in implementation of long-term development strategy of Kvazar-Micro on markets of Eastern Europe and the CIS countries. At that, the company focused on solving of three important tasks: preserving effectiveness of business management as well as particular projects in conditions of fast geographical expansion; building up infrastructure for large-scale launch of system products line and increase of role of outsourcing in Kvazar-Micro’s business.

Solving the first task, the company completed restructuring that affected a number of existing departments and led to establishing of new ones.

Thus, in 2007 institute of regional managers was launched, single directorate of project management managerial board was created, single procurement department was formed that increased effectiveness of work with vendors. Also the company formed new department of foreign economic activity which coordinates work on geographical markets. We would like to bring into focus that new Kvazar-Micro departments serve company’s offices in all prescription countries.

As a result well coordinated work of international project teams of Kvazar-Micro allowed the company to employ in every project all potential of its international resource base. At that, project model was modified with additional elements which provided monitoring of customer satisfaction and feedback mechanism for operative correcting of current projects and enhancement   of regulations of typical blocks of new projects. These changes are in the line of constant endeavors of Kvazar-Micro for development of its client orientation.
Thus, in 2007 by this model the company implemented and is implementing today several dozens of large projects, at that 20 of them where connected with implementation of system products of the company in various countries.

Growing role of system products in Kvazar-Micro business reflects changes occurring on the market. One of the most relevant tasks of modern enterprise today is overcoming dispersion between projects of organizational level aimed at change of management methods as well as projects for creation of IT solutions. Essentially, organizations are interested in simultaneous, within the framework of single complex, building up optimal system of business processes, systematical implementation of the best western practices developed for correspondent subject matter, and deployment of all informational systems necessary for this. Notwithstanding individual features of each enterprise, there is objective underlying similarity between all such projects. It is determined by specific character of industry and procedures for solving of “horizontal” tasks that have been already developed in world practice. It is these tendencies led to creation of Kvazar-Micro’s system products that represent complexes of interconnected organizational and technical solutions for support of main enterprise business processes.

Today we have already developed products for financial flow management in large holdings; for through automation of retail companies - from distribution center to front office; for educational field (Multiservice informational and educational environment, or MIEE), for agriculture ("Agroclever").

Thus, MIEE system allows full integration of information technologies into educational process and, essentially, represents new model of educational environment that seamlessly combines traditional and innovative educational methods. Projects of MIEE implementation are being performed in Moscow Region, in Krasnodar Territory, in Kaliningrad Region and Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous Area; in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Turkmenistan. MIEE is used in corporate training, e.g., this system is installed in Training Center of Moscow underground.

"Agroclever" is the firs in CIS complex solution for agriculture that embodies new methods for agriculture management, concept of "accurate soil management". It tightly integrates informational and agricultural technologies. This Kvazar-Micro solution is being approbated in projects for agricultural field of Russia and Ukraine.

In 2007 Kvazar-Micro significantly expanded its geographical presence, entering and mending its fences in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. Besides this, today the company implements a number of complex projects in Lithuania. In these countries we use three organizational and legal models: joint ventures, our own representatives and work through partners.

We would like to emphasize that, entering new market, the company unexceptionally rests upon its entire resource base, which allows it to proceed to projects of highest complexity in all fields of Kvazar-Micro competence. Thus, in Kazakhstan the company created new workflow system in “Ular-Umit” Pension Fund and implemented Oracle E-Business Suite (OEBS) ERP system in the biggest bank of the country – "Nurbank";  in Lithuania it implemented budgeting system in BITE telecommunication company,  MIEE system in a number of educational establishments of Uzbekistan, in Armenia, on order of Ministry of Finance – large data processing center (DPC). Projects for construction of DPCs and their engineering infrastructure were also implemented for largest financial and credit organizations working in traditional for the company geographical markets of Russia (MBRD) and Ukraine (Ukrsotsbank and Rodovid banks).

A number of large projects were implemented for the companies comprising JSFC “Sistema” holding. Among them are: implementation of ERP system (OEBS based) and infrastructural solutions for COMSTAR-UTS, completion of ERP replicating in MTC company (also OEBS based); start of CDMA-450 network deployment on the territory of Ukraine (customer – telecommunication company UMC).

At the same time, Kvazar-Micro business not connected with JSFC subsidiaries today accounts for more then 80%. Thus, for example, we would like to note ongoing projects for creation of security and urgent alarm system on order of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia; start of implementation of automated banking system in VTB bank; consulting project for Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russian Federation; development and implementation of automated system for personnel departments of  Government Authority Bodies of Russian Federation; implementation of RFID based security system for General Prosecutor’s Office of Russian Federation.

Kvazar-Micro plans to optimize its product portfolio on the level of system products and specialized "niche" solutions. The company started creation of complex solution for medicine – “Intellectual clinic” (special department was established for this). Besides, Kvazar-Micro launched investment projects for creation of innovative solutions for transport, as well as solutions for security – in terms of city and region in whole. Simultaneously, the company develops MIEE system embedding in it modules reflecting specific character of higher educational establishments and vocational schools.

Kvazar-Micro keeps searching for “niche” partners and developing partnership with biggest western and Russian developers and suppliers of advanced technologies. So, this year the following companies became our partners: CosmoCom, Systimax, Axios, also we expanded partnership with Nortel, Cisco Systems, HP and others.

Developing serviceoriented model for main business processes of the customer, Kvazar-Micro deepens cooperation with vendors on the level of competences. Within this line of activities the company creates resource centers for participation in complex projects in cooperation with vendors.  For example, in OSS/BSS field such resource center has been already formed.

Another important stage of work within the scope of serviceoriented model became creation, in cooperation with biggest western vendors, of specialized DPC for providing IT outsourcing and outsourcing of business functions to large customers.
