OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2007. In 2006, profit of shipbuilding plant Severnaya Verf (St. Petersburg) grew by 49.4% to $14.5 million under IFRS, the company’s press center reports.

Severnaya Verf shipyard OJSC is one of the largest shipbuilding companies of Russia. Major shareholders of the company are United Industrial Corporation CJSC (72.23%, affiliated with Mezhprombank) and RFFI (20.96%). The authorized capital of Severnaya Verf amounts to RUR 147.825 thou divided into 147.825 thou shares with a nominal value of 1 ruble each.
Currently the yard builds 4 patrol ships project 20380 for RF Navy, frigate project 22350 for RF Navy, specialized communications vessel project 18280 for RF Navy. Besides there are two vessels under repair at the shipyard.
