OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2007. Annual capacity of grain terminal in the port of Aktau (Kazakhstan) will grow to 600,000 tonnes after reconstruction, Raphael Galyamov, Director General of the grain terminal Ak Bidai told the Minister of Agriculture, Kazinform reports. The reconstruction costing 280 million tenge lasted from May till September 2007. The terminal’s loadingequipment was replaced with Belgian equipment. According to Galyamov, the reconstruction improved safety of the terminal’s transport communications and ensured conditions for raising throughput of the port through more efficient use of the berth located close to the terminal.
