OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian nuclear fuel producer – Open Joint Stock Company TVEL – has become a part of Atomenergoprom, a vertically integrated nuclear power holding in Russia. The merger was carried out in the framework of consolidation of civil nuclear power assets, the information department of the company disclosed.

The JSC TVEL’s authorized capital is 6.224 million ordinary shares. 100% of shares were owned by the Russian Federal Agency for Federal Property Management.

In 2006, the company’s net profits were 3.16 billion rubles with sales amounted up to 28.5 billion rubles.

Corporation TVEL includes such large enterprises as Mashinostroitelny Zavod (Elektrostal, Moscow Region), Chepetsky Mechanical Plant (Glazov, Udmurtia), Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant (Novosibirsk). The Corporation fully supplies fuel to 73 power reactors of Russia and 13 countries all over the world, which include Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, Armenia, Lithuania, and China.
