OREANDA-NEWS. Centertelecom plans achievement of sales at 38 bn RUR level in 2009, a 26.6% above a similar value of the past year - 30 bn RUR, reported Veles Capital with reference to the director general of the company Vaagn Martirosyan. In 2008 Centertelecom expects sales to made up 31.6 bn RUR, though income from new services is to form 3.8 bn RUR (12% of total sales).

The number of subscribers for broadband internet access (ADSL) in 2007 is expected to made about 300 th people versus 240 th of the current users, said Martirosyan. Until 2012, Centertelecom plans to keep its share of broadband internet access of central federal district at above 50%, while current value forms 54%. "Share of the  market will be saved, growing slightly, but will not drop down," stressed Martirosyan.

Experts of Veles Capital estimate the forecast of the Centertelecom's management as quite optimistic. "Over the next year, tariffs for local communications are unlikely to increase, decreasing the rate of company's income growth. Apart from this, a compensatory payment was canceled, leading to additional "disappearance" of income (in 2007 thecompany received about 45 mn USD of compensatory refunds). Hence, an important driver of company's income growth is new services. However, considering Centertelecom's operating geography (closeness to Moscow and presence of large competitors) company will have to exert serious effort to reach the given targets, and in order to save its share of the market. In our model we use much more pessimistic development forecast. We can take Martirosyan's statement as having a positive influence for shares of the company, hence our recommendation 'BUY' is confirmed," concluded the experts.
