OREANDA-NEWS. On November 7,  a quarterly meeting of chief engineers of JSC “Belgorodenergo” (JSC “IDGC of the Center” service area) production departments was held, in the course of which the company executives summed up the company's activity results concerning occupational safety, fire safety, discussed implementation of production programs for 9 months of the current year, as well as set the targets for the 4th quarter, the Belgorodenergo press service reported.

Prior to the discussion, the participants inspected 35 kV “Yablonovo”, “Prilepy”, “Orlik” substations and 110 kV “Korocha” substation, and estimated the reconstruction quality. They also visited production sites of Korocha and Gubkin PGD, where the participants examined the working conditions of regional control centers’ dispatchers.

Later on, the working meeting was held in “Northern Power Grids” PD. Andrei Kulik, Head of occupational safety service, said that the 3rd quarter was held under “Department Preparation to operate during Autumn and Winter Period” slogan. All PDs were successfully prepared to operate during peak loads and received Operability Certificates. He stated that the number of technological failures in equipment operation in JSC “Belgorodenergo” for 9 months of the current year compared to the same period of the previous year decreased by 6,7%. The lack of power supply to grids decreased by 10,2%. JSC “Belgorodenergo” held an ecological audit and drew the statement based on its results. The company will have to carry out 35 activities, aimed to observe Environmental Law. Besides, four departments received agreed projects of norms of waste management and limits of their storage. The next stage will be the receipt of limits on wastes storage.

The expenses for occupational safety for 9 months of the current year exceeded 54 mln rubles, including 22,5 mln rubles the company spent to purchase personal protective means. Mr. Kulik said that the company main target in occupational safety for the 4th quarter is to prevent traumatism.

Maxim Ovechkin, Deputy Chief Engineer for Operative and Technological Control and Head of GMC, said that " for the reported period the number of unscheduled outages was reduced and the average time for technological failures liquidation was reduced down to 2,07 hours." He told about the target scheme of cooperation of grid Maintenance Center with other internal and external structures, as well as described the set targets due to conversion to the two-level system of operational and technological management.

Alexander Stepichev, Deputy Chief Engineer for Maintenance, Head of Technical Maintenance Service summed up results of the overhaul activities for 9 months. For this period, the power engineers accomplished a scope of work on 18 target programs on reliable power supply to customers. The company repaired 1074,3 km of 35-110 kV lines (106% out of planned); 7844,9 km of 0,4-10 kV lines (203% out of planned); 147 35-110 kV substations (102%) and 2295 6-10\0,4kV transformer substations. The attention was paid to the lines' clearing. The necessity to clear vegetation was caused by increased number of torn wire due to fallen trees or shortcuts caused by sprouting. The power engineers cleared 699,29 ha of vegetation along power lines for the 9 months and that exceeded the plan by 18,9%.

The meeting participants discussed cooperation with contractors, as well as the issue on purchasing special vehicles. Within the framework of discussion, it was decided to use new “Sadko”  team vehicles with five-seated cabin and vehicles equipped with hydraulic crane. Such vehicles will allow increasing occupational safety and labor production.

Alexander Eist, Deputy General Director for Technical Items,  Chief Engineer of JSC “Belgorodenergo” , estimated the work of production departments as positive in all directions, and noted the necessity to more actively involve personnel in all the processes taking place in the company.
