OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2007. The subject of the mission is “Effective Organization of Equipment Maintenance and Repair.” The mission consists of representatives of Rosenergoatom Concern, Ignalina NPP (Lithuania), Volgodonsk and Balakovo NPPs, specialists of Kalinin NPP and expert of WANO Atlanta Center Jim Tills, reported the press-centre of Kalinin NPP.

The key objective of the mission is to enhance the safety and efficiency of the plant through exchange of information, encouragement of contacts and adoption of best experience.

The advisor of WANO Moscow Center Sergey Lesin says that the visit of the mission has coincided with the resumption of the construction of the 4th unit of Kalinin NPP. “I am glad to note that Kalinin NPP is among the leaders in international cooperation, in its aspiration to be competitive and safe. We highly evaluate the work of the plant.”

On Nov 15 the experts are planning to meet with the managers of Kalinin NPP and present their findings.
