OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2007. RAO UES Commission has given OGK-5 the passport of availability for the 2007-08 autumn-winter period.

Availability passports were timely received by all the production branches (power plants) of the Company after meeting all the main and additional conditions of the Regulation on Evaluation of Availability of Power and Heat Supply Organisations to Operation in Autumn-Winter Period, including provision of the required fuel reserve and accomplishment of scheduled maintenance activities.

The total amount of expenses under the maintenance and investment programme for the nine months of the current year totaled 3.9 billion roubles; another 2.5 billion roubles will have been disbursed by the end of the year.

The results of anti-emergency training held at the production branches of OGK-5 showed a high degree of readiness of the management and operating personnel for actions under extreme conditions.

As Mr. Krivoguzov, the Chairman of the Commission and Head of the Operation and Fuel Supply Division of Business Unit 1 of RAO UES of Russia, noted, no remarks were made to the company’s availability for the coming winter. Besides OGK-5’s representatives, the Commission also included Mr. Zhukov, the head expert, A. Shevchuk, the Head of the Technical Audit Department and General Inspectorate of the Corporate Centre of RAO UES of Russia, and Mr. Meshcheryakov, the Head of the HR Department of the Corporate Centre of RAO UES of Russia.
