OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2007. The Gazprom headquarters hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Klaus-Ewald Holst, Managing Director of Verbundnetz Gas, the Gazprom information service reports.

The parties discussed issues related to the bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the natural gas supply, underground storage and gas mains system utilization projects.

Verbundnetz Gas (VNG AG) (founded 1969) is a gas supplier to Eastern Federal Lands of Germany and Berlin. VNG's core business activities comprise natural gas import, supplies to consumers as well as its underground storage.

The production activity is performed via VNG’s ramified gas transportation and distribution system with a total length of nearly 7.3 thousand km including compressor stations with a total capacity of 86.9 MW and UGS facilities with a total volume of some 2.3 bcm of gas.

The company's shareholders are: Gazprom – 5.26 per cent, EWE – 47.9 per cent, Wintershall Holding AG – 15.79 per cent plus 1 share, VNG Verwaltungs und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH – 25.79 minus 1 share, EEG – 5.26 per cent.
