OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2007.  For January-October period 2007 average monthly salary in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 186.8 ($219.76; rate: USD1 = AZN 0.85) that is by 33.9% more versus the 2006 same term, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Following 2006 average monthly salary was AZN 141.3 ($158.76) and for this year the government forecasts average salary of AZN 182.3 with growth of 29%.

For Jan-Oct period 2007 average salary exceeded average monthly income (AZN 125.44) per capita by 48.9%. As of November 1 of the year, nominal income per capita reached AZN 1,254 that exceeds the Jan-Oct 2006 figure by 38.3%. Real income per capita made AZN 1,111 (+39.8%). Under governmental forecast, in 2007 nominal income per capital should make AZN 1,470 with growth of 23.1%.

Nominal income of the Azerbaijani population totaled AZN 10.603 bn that is by 39.9% more against the Jan-Oct 2006 index. The government forecasts for this year population’s income at the level of AZN 12.97 bn with growth of 30.4%. Population’s real income reached AZN 7.858 bn (+41.4%). This year the government forecasts real income of the population to be AZN 10.826 bn with growth of 26.5%.

For Jan-Oct period of the year the population spent 63% of its income (AZN 6.68 bn) on purchase of goods and services, 11.4% (AZN 1.208 bn) on payment of taxes, duties , social and insurance fees, 25.6% (AZN 2.714 bn) on accumulation and purchase of freely convertible currency.

This year the government forecasts population’s total expenses to be AZN 12.29 bn with growth of 23.9%. Expenses per capita are to make AZN 1.426 bn (+22.5%). The population is forecasted to spend AZN 9.554 bn on purchase of goods and services, AZN 640 million on payment of taxes and duties, AZN 349 million on accumulation and AZN 1.75 bn on purchase of freely convertible currency.
