OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2007. OJSC Sibirgazservis (a subdivision of the GAZEKS gas holding company, IES-Holding) has checked the competence of the company's employees operating gas distribution pipelines in the City of Novosibirsk, IES-Holding's press center informs.

In accordance with regulatory documents of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor), organisations operating hazardous industrial facilities are obliged to conduct training and verify the competence of their technical staff, according to Chief Engineer Andrei Lyutikov. Technical staff at Sibirgazservis includes the staff of the emergency control service, the service for assembly operations and tap-ins, as well as the service for the operation and maintenance of gas equipment, underground gas pipelines, and gas control stations. Fifty-two employees passed the competence test. All employees confirmed their knowledge to the commission and got good and excellent marks. "I state with full responsibility that the city may rest in comfort as the operation and maintenance of gas pipelines is in the hands of professionals who can be relied upon," emphasised the technical officer. "OJSC Sibirgazservis pays special attention to staff training as not only the quality of our services depends thereon, but also the safety of our citizens, which is most important."
