OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2007. A working meeting of Evgeny Makarov, General Director of JSC IDGC of the Center, and Igor Slyunyaev, Governor of the Kostroma region, took place on December 13, 2007. The purpose of the meeting was discussion of the current and long-term issues of functioning and development of the electric power industry of the Kostroma area.

In 2006, JSC IDGC of the Center and Kostroma area signed an agreement on interaction for development of electric grid and maintenance of reliable power supply. Now there exists integration of networks of municipal power of the Kostroma area and grid complex of JSC Kostromaenergo. This is necessary for creation of a uniform center of the responsibility for electric power supply of the territory, for lowering charges for networks maintenance. At the meeting it was emphasized that both parties exercise obligations under the Agreement in due time and in full; the administration of the area has already transferred the most part of the power facilities under supervision of JSC Kostromaenergo. In 2008, 380 more km will be transferred to the ownership of JSC Kostromaenergo. In 2006-2007 JSC Kostromaenergo accepted from municipalities 570 km of 0.4-10 kV air lines, 195 transformer substations and 1 substation of 10 kV.

"Our relations and teamwork with administration of the Kostroma area for the last three years has developed very productively. All mutual arrangements were executed. I am sure that in future our cooperation will become stronger," said Makarov, General Director of JSC IDGC of the Center. In its turn Igor Slyunyaev expressed concern regarding possible growth of power deficiency within 2-3 years, growth of metal stealing from power facilities.

"For prevention of possible deficiency, joint territorial planning is necessary. In order not to become a brake of development of the area, power should have precise idea about the fact what facilities will be constructed in the near future. In its turn we are preparing a map of zones of deficiency-proficiency of capacity including the Kostroma area power. It will give us precise notion about our opportunities," Evgeny Makarov said.

This was the first meeting of Evgeny Makarov and Igor Slyunyaev after his appointment to the position of Governor of the Kostroma area. Evgeny Makarov presented the Company: he has told about the history of creation and development of JSC IDGC of the Center, about its current activity, prospects of development, course of the company's reforming.
