OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2007. Mr Ronnie Richardson, President of the Management Board of Kredyt Bank (KBC Group NV’s Polish banking subsidiary), submitted his resignation to the Supervisory Board of Kredyt Bank, to take effect on 29 February 2008. The Supervisory Board of Kredyt Bank has accepted his resignation.

Mr Richardson stated that he came to this decision as he wanted to explore new career opportunities. The Supervisory Board wishes to thank Mr Richardson for his work and achievements since joining Kredyt Bank in 2005. It greatly appreciates his contribution to the development of the bank and the bancassurance concept.

During yesterday’s meeting, the Supervisory Board appointed Mr Maciej Bardan as successor to Mr Richardson, pending the approval of the Polish Banking Supervisory Authorities.
The Supervisory Board of Kredyt Bank will propose to the Banking Supervisory Authorities that, with effect from 1 March 2008, Mr Bardan be appointed President of the Management Board.

With the support of KBC as a strong and stable shareholder, Mr Bardan will continue to pursue Kredyt Bank’s strategy and will focus on the further implementation of the bancassurance concept and the continued growth and development of the bank, in close co-operation with Warta, KBC Group NV’s insurance subsidiary in Poland.

Maciej Bardan (°1963) studied at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and specialised in Banking and Finance. He also attended the Harvard-Raiffeisen Leadership Program. Mr Bardan has many years of professional experience in banking, risk management and the financial sector. He started his professional career with Citibank Poland S.A. in 1992 and held many different positions there until 2001. During that period, he was a relationship manager, a general manager of Citileasing and CitiBusiness, a member of the Management Board and of the Credit Committee, and a director in corporate bank risk management. In 2001, he became Advisor to the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A., before being appointed Vice President of its Management Board in 2002. He resigned from this post on 1 December 2007.
