OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2007. Sevmash's representatives took part in Maritime Collegium within RF Government, which was held on the 19th of December in Moscow, the enterprise's press service reported. The company's information stands were placed in RF government building during Collegium. Sevmash represented marine platforms, power generating plants, equipment for development oil and gas fields, prospective projects of nuclear ice breakers, gas carriers as well as investment project of creating dry dock for large-capacity ships.

The meeting was opened by the representative of Maritime Collegium, Sergey Ivanov. He mentioned that during this year legal foundation for marine activities in Russia was reinforced: Port act was established, amendments in Fishing legislation were made. Special attention was paid to shipbuilding. Government considered and approved strategy of shipbuilding industry development up to 2020, as well as work regarding establishment of OJSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation".

Reports regarding providing navigation security and creating unique information space in the field of marine activities were presented for Collegium. The following persons made speeches: the Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, the Head of Rosgidromet Aleander Bedritsky, the Head of main Naval Forces staff Mikhail Abramov, the Minister of Information technologies Leonid Reinman. At the end of the meeting, they made plan for 2008: meetings will be arranged in Moscow, St.Petersburg and Kaliningrad. "I took part in work of several Collegiums, noted Edward Borisov, Sevmash Deputy Director General. "The most actual issues of industry are considered here. And presence of ministers and heads of federal agencies allows discussing actual issues on the private basis."
