January 14, 2008. 100 sports and fitness complexes will be put up in Moscow in 2008-2009, Vladimir Resin, first deputy city mayor of Moscow in the Moscow City Government, declared at the traditional Saturday perambulate through the city building sites on January 12, construction portal stroi.ru reports.

“We have almost fulfiled all the construction program we planned for 2007. There is only a little backlog of construction of the sports and fitness complexes: 20 have been built, however 50 were planned,” Mr Resin noted. According to him, all sports and fitness complexes stipulated by the construction program for the current year as well as 30 which weren’t built in 2007 will be put up in Moscow in 2008.

“In total, roughly 100 sports and fitness complexes will be built in the capital [of Russia] in two years,” the first deputy city mayor concluded.
