OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received Kotam Enterprayzis Ltd CEO Muammer Agym.

Thanking the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting the businessman said that his company was proud of its long-term co-operation with Turkmenistan that had resulted in successfully implementing the joint projects in textile industry.

Reaffirming the intense interest in maintaining bilateral mutually advantageous partnership Muammer Agym expressed sincere gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for the confidence granted to the company – to construct a cotton spinning factory with the capacity of 14,500 tons a year in Dashoguz. The Turkish businessman assured the Turkmen leader that the factory meeting the international standards would be put into operation in October 2009.

Approving the Kotam Enterprayzis Ltd project on construction of the industrial complex in Dashoguz Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov highly appreciated mutually advantageous co-operation established with the Turkish partners emphasizing that Turkmenistan was ready to maintain it on the basis of mutual interests.

The interlocutors discussed the future trends and opportunities of intensifying effective co-operation basing on the goals and tasks set to Turkmenistan’s textile industry as a leading sector of national economy. The Kotam Enterprayzis Ltd CEO submitted the proposal to construct another production facility at the Geokdepe textile complex that would enable to increase the production output and broaden the range of domestically manufactured products and create new jobs in the region. The guest presented the project on construction of the Ene Myakhri medical centre in Geokdepe Etrap, Ahal Velayat as a token of friendship and profound respect to the Turkmen people.

Muammer Agym informed the Turkmen leader of the company’s intention to build a store chain nearby the factory manufacturing medicinal cotton and cosmetic wads to sell finished goods. Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov called for accelerating the project activity. 

Upon concluding the meeting the guest cordially thanked Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for the opportunity to discuss the key issues of promoting fruitful co-operation in the personal meeting and reaffirmed his company’s readiness to contribute to development of Turkmenistan’s textile industry.
